Online juggernaut World of Warcraft seems to show few signs of slowing down.
Two weeks ahead of the release of the online role-playing game's second expansion, developer Blizzard Entertainment announced the number of subscribers worldwide has surpassed the 11-million mark.
"It's been very rewarding to see gamers around the world continue to show such strong support for World of Warcraft," Blizzard CEO Mike Morhaime said in a statement.
Expect WoW's subscription base to grow even more in the coming weeks. Blizzard will launch the highly-anticipated expansion Wrath of the Lich King on November 13. Gaming magazine GamePro offers a fresh preview.
