10.2 Mega-Pixel CCD

The 10.2 Mega Pixel 1/2.5'' high resolution CCD sensor allows for a high quality picture. Clear picture quality can be achieved even for super size images larger than A2. A robust mounted image processor enables rich gradation, fast and clear high quality picture processing.

High Definition movie recording

Ultra high quality video recording for 720P (1280 x 720, Progressive) at 30 fps.

H.264, a new video compression method that is more than twice as efficient as MPEG-4 is supported. Video recording at HD resolution and the next generation compression format H.264 surpasses most digital camcorders.

Various video recording functions are supported: 3.6X optical zoom, stereo voice recording, shake correction, shot continuity, video extraction and image capture.

2.5'' AM OLED screen : fast response and natural colour

Unlike a traditional LCD displays, the AM OLED (Active Matrix Organic Light Emitting Diode) implements crystal clear picture quality. In bright or dark outdoor environments, clear picture quality is implemented at any angle without limitation in brightness, clarity and colour.

Complete prevention of afterimages during shooting and playback, this minimises eye fatigue caused by extended use of the camera. The reproduction rate that is close to 100% ensures implementation of natural colours that have not been available with LCD.

face detection function

Under a backlight condition and when there is a difference in exposure between a subject and its background, a subject's face is automatically detected, and brightness and focus are automatically adjusted for optimal shots.

When a subject is moving within a frame, it is automatically detected and tracked and Auto Exposure (AE) and Auto Focus (AF) are applied accordingly. Up to 9 subjects can be detected at a time to support reliable image composition for portrait and multiple subjects' shots.

AEB or exposure correction function

When the measured exposure data is not accurate, pictures are taken automatically based on the exposure range specified by the user. The function controls the shooting exposure based on the exposure measured by the camera according to user's selection.

* AEB (Auto Exposure Bracketing): It automatically shoots darker or brighter pictures, according to the exposure standard measured by automatic exposure stage shooting.
* Exposure correction: Enables darkness and brightness to be controlled in relation to the exposure measured, by using +/- buttons.

white balance selection

During shooting, actual colour expressions of an image may vary depending on the colour temperature of light sources such as sunlight, fluorescent and tungsten. Based on a light source such as sunlight, fluorescent and tungsten, a predetermined colour temperature is selected for natural expression of images.

Natural expression of colours through Auto White Balance (AWB) for automatic adjustment of colour temperature and user-defined WB settings.

14 scene modes

Based on situations, shooting data such as exposure, colour and contrast can be easily set up by anybody for professional shots.
14 modes supported: Portrait, Children, Night scene, Backlight, Landscape, Sunset, Dawn, Firework, Snow, Close up, Self, Café, Food and Text.

ISO 3200 support

The camera can effectively reduce possible noises in super speed sensitivity mode for clear images. ISO 3200 super speed sensitivity enables clear quality pictures to be taken even in low light conditions.

ISO supported: Auto, 80, 100, 200, 400, 800, 1600, 3200 (up to 3M). Super speed sensitivity enables sharply-focused, momentary stop pictures to be taken of moving subjects such as children or people engaged in sports.

HDMI with Anynet+ (CEC)

HDMI is a multimedia interface via which uncompressed full digital audio/video data can be transmitted. Since the NV24HD supports a HDMI-dedicated cradle, high resolution images can be enjoyed at full HD quality.

As the camera supports Anynet+, all playback-related functions can be accessed with a TV remote control when used in connection with SAMSUNG HDTV.

schneider lens: 3.6X optical wide (24 - 86.5mm), F2.8 - F5.9

The newly designed 3.6X ultra optical zoom lens (24 - 86.5mm at 35mm wide-angle) supports rich pictorial expression.

World's top class Schneider lens completely prevents all chromatic aberration and distortion that occur at wide-angle. The specially designed combination of a non-spherical lens and a low dispersion lens allows for rich expression of high resolution images.

24mm ultra wide-angle ensures the extended field of vision that has never been available with the angle of view at 35mm provided by conventional digital cameras.

Dual Image Stabilisation

With lens-shift method Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS), hand shakes are completely controlled without image degradation in poor light conditions. Digital Image Stabilisation (DIS) that is fully implemented in terms of image processing speed and picture quality. Concurrent use of OIS and DIS correction of hand-shakes ensures clear picture quality in any shooting condition.

auto macro (up to 5cm)

The camera incorporates an auto macro and micro modifying function which avoids the need to switch to micro-shooting when in macro mode.

In wide mode, the range is from 5cm to infinity, and in tele mode, 50cm to infinity. The camera can express new images of small subjects including flowers and insects by macro 5cm shooting.

ACB (Auto Contrast Balance)

ACB will adjust when the objects are dark, and background is bright. The contrast of the object area will be automatically modified info proper brightness.
